Our Target ?

Many government interventions in getting youth into Agriculture has been targeted at existing small-scale youth farmers and un-employed youth which has yielded some positive results.
However, there are over 100,000 Ghanaian youth working in the formal sector in Ghana and overseas who have been ignored when mobilizing youth into agriculture.
The Virtual Youth Farmer program targets employed youth to own equity in farming projects undertaken with OAPI which is an expert Agricultural Management company.

Program Content

• Develop Plantation farms (of size 1,000 hectres – 10,000 hectres) with large scale farming methods by the the farm manager - OAPI.


• Virtual Youth farmers (entrepreneurs) own a minimum of 2 ha farm per head AND need not work physically on farms.


• New agronomy practices – (foliar fertigation, irrigation, exotic seeds etc.)applicable.


• Use of new technologies in farm management - Agricultural Management System, Surveillance by Drones etc.


• Increase current yield of produce such as Onion, Tomato, Soya bean and Cocoa by 30% minimum.


• Secured funding through guarantee payment system by SSNIT to Virtual Youth farmers to secure loans from partner banks


• Secured and guarantee pricing for produce with off-taker purchase agreements.


• Value – addition to farmproduce – (by-products)
