To make life better is our ultimate objective
To help the youth to recognize and accept farming as a commercial business venture that canimprove their lives
Generate appreciable income to meet farmers domestic and personal needs and increase the overall quality of all youth
To encourage the youth to stay and aid in the building and development of the country
In support of MOFA’s YIAP, UCL and partner OAPI, propose a Private Public partnership (PPP) arrangement to launch an innovative VITUAL YOUTH FARMER program to entice Youth in Ghana currently working in the formal sector into agriculture as a diversified means to earning additional income whilst building a viable venture they can rely on while on retirement.
Many government interventions in getting youth into Agriculture has been targeted
at existing small-scale youth farmers and un-employed youth which has yielded some positive results.
However, there are over 100,000 Ghanaian youth working in the formal sector in Ghana and overseas
who have been ignored when mobilizing youth into agriculture.
The Virtual Youth Farmer program targets employed youth to own equity in farming projects undertaken
with OAPI which is an expert Agricultural Management company.
